Tours & Treks

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”

- Augustine of Hippo

International Tours

Every year girls visit the United States of America to be a part of the School Space Program wherein they visit NASA, Houston or John F. Kennedy Space Centre, Orlando, Niagara Falls and world famous landmarks in New York, in order to develop a deeper understanding of Science and global culture. During the excursions, they also visit many theme parks, e.g., Disneyland, Island of Adventure, Sea World, Universal Studios, etc.

To provide experiential learning in modern languages, girls visit European and Asian countries like Switzerland, France, Italy, China, Singapore, etc. They participate in a unique full immersion program to enhance their language skills in a short time, stay in a culturally diverse community and are encouraged to apply what they learn. This program also includes improving social etiquettes, skill building workshops, sightseeing and adventure sports like hiking and mountain biking.

New Horizons

We at UWS believe in travel as a mode of learning. With an encouraging regularity, various domestic and international tours and treks are organized and conducted. A tour may be academic, exploratory or adventurous in nature, and helps the student explore our wonderful world full of natural and manmade mysteries. Your girl child has the chance to experience a new way of life, and depending upon her choice of the programme, learn a new language or improve her skills in the foreign language she may already be studying at the School. She will also have the opportunity to make new connections with her host family abroad and friends and teachers at school – whose friendship she is likely to cherish for years to come.

The students will experience learning in a different education system, which will expose them to a diverse style of teaching and assessment methodology. They may also be able to undertake classes that are not available at their school or those that teach a subject in a different context. Although the basis of student exchange is to provide an educational experience, your child will have the opportunity to see and explore new vistas in the host country.

Learn to Co-exist

While moral science lessons have emphasized enough on sharing and caring, application in real life is often a challenge. Living with people from other parts of the world and sharing their joys and sorrows, celebrating festivals, playing their sports etc. makes it possible and as a matter of fact a whole lot easier to understand co-existence in a mixed culture. This ensures that our students are fully prepared to live anywhere, should their career demand.

Expanding Horizons

The School believes in imparting learning beyond classrooms. Educational tours of historical and geographical nature are regularly conducted at national and international level.
